The Southern continent of Schyrra is inspired by the various tribes of North and South America, Australia, and Africa. Technology was low, with metal working rare, but is being changed by the influx of Western and Eastern influences.
The tribes, and a very brief explanation, follow.
Airidi: these desert-dwelling craftsmen are a paragon of creation. They are also elusive, dwelling in cracks in the desert plateau. They have famous iron working skills, and have begun making firearms.
Therin: these jungle-dwelling slaves live for the day they will be able to throw off the yoke of oppression. They work with obsidian, stone, and gold. Their divine magics and trust in shamanism are unparalleled.
Tyran: these are the masters of the Therin, and own the former Therin nation. They live to spill blood, be it through war or sacrifice.
Sonori: These savannah-dwelling, peaceful people thrive in their work. They take the concept of ownership very seriously, and belong to their chief, who belongs to the gods.
Hurero: These woodland dwelling merchants are known as people of the great house. They are the supply line to the rest of Schyrra.
Kaleese: These plains-dwelling nomads are masters of horse and free will. They wander in a true democracy, while the separatist Marauders cause trouble for all.
Karin: Masters of the ocean jungles, Karin are split between the benevolent Karrinole and vicious Karrinog. They revere their ancestors, even as the ancestors serve on councils as undead sages.
